With Rhön sheep and high tech!
The Rhön, a UNESCO recognised biosphere reserve situated in
three different federal states was, with its innovative ideas, chosen
as a winning region in the competition “ Regions of the future
– on the road to lasting development” in the year 2000.
It is now a question of implementing the aims and the projects in the Rhön effectively, whereby economic, social and ecological aspects
receive equal consideration and are to be co-ordinated. The needs of today`s generation have to be regarded as a central issue, as do the structuring
and maintaining of a lovely region for future generations.
The most important topics of the Rhön, a region with a future are as follows: the work of the "Regionale Arbeitsgemeinschaft Rhön"(Regional
Working Community dealing with the Rhön in all three federal states involved), information on the Landkreisen, current Projekte , but also
information on the Wirtschaftsraum Rhön and on Landwirtschaft complete the topics.
